Scottish Greens – East Renfrewshire

Vote Laura Stevens #1 for Clarkston, Netherlee and Williamwood

VoteLS

With the council elections coming up on Thursday, Laura Stevens – our candidate for Clarkston, Netherlee and Williamwood (and Busby and Stamperland!) – outlines a couple of her priorities:

REENERGISING CLARKSTON

Greens believe that a local economy should be powered by what benefits the community, not the interests of big corporations. That’s why I will work with local companies and I Love Clarkston to help support and grow business that have chosen to make Clarkston their base. My involvement in last year’s community regeneration consultation showed there is a real desire from local people to use and support local businesses.

BUILDING A COUNCIL THAT WORKS WITH YOU

There are no community councils within Ward 4 after many were dissolved by East Renfrewshire Council in 2015, leaving many people with no forum. I want to put the #PowerInYourHands by working with community groups across the ward to ensure their voices are heard by East Renfrewshire Council.
