Scottish Greens – East Renfrewshire

Thank you!

Laura and David would like to thank everyone who donated to our campaign crowdfunder, which raised a phenomenal  £1,000 in the end!

This has already allowed us to print high quality newsletters for the wards we’re standing in, and while we’re keen to use the internet to get our message out wherever possible, previous experience has shown that print helps you communicate with a whole range of people who’d never read a Facebook post, a hot tweet or indeed this blog post.

These newsletters have already been a valuable starting point for conversations with prospective voters, so it’s fair to say that every pound donated will help us talk to people, which will hopefully not only boost our campaign but also our understanding of what the big local issues are for people in Clarkston, Busby, Stamperland, Williamwood, Netherlee, Barrhead, Liboside and Uplawmoor.

That’s why we’re standing, after all: to put #PowerInYourHands.

We’ve got ideas on how to do that – so hey, watch this space! – but we know there’s plenty of knowledge and inspiration out there in our communities, and we want to work with you to bring your voices into the council.

Newsletters, leaflets, postcards, and conversations on the street or the doorstep won’t make thst happen on their own, but they’re a start.

Thanks once again to all who helped us to make it this far, whether they’ve done so by donating few quid or delivering campaign literature or simply by showing support in person or online.  We will strive to live up to the faith you’ve shown in us in the run up to May’s election and beyond.
