Our Second Birthday Party / AGM
We’ll be holding our second birthday party / Annual General Meeting at the Duff Memorial Hall in Busby, from 3-5pm on Saturday 10th December. This will be a family friendly event, with some party business – about which more in a minute! – mixed in with a look back at what we’ve achieved over the course of the past two years.
There will also be a chance to go out for drinks after the event, and The White Cart has been mentioned as a potential venue for this – I won’t be able to make it myself, but that might actually be considered a bonus by some!
If you’d like to discuss the arrangements for this event, please let us know either in the comments of by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Call for Office Bearers
At our AGM, we will be looking to elect local members to the following positions:
In order to fulfil our branch constitution, we will need to fill the following positions: the two Co-Convener roles, Treasurer, and Membership Secretary.
If you’d like to be take on one or more of the roles outlined above, please send an email to email@example.com by Friday 2nd December. In this email, please advise us of which position(s) you wish to be considered for and provide a paragraph outlining your suitability for the role(s) in question.
At the moment we have members filling most of these constituted roles. If you’re currently performing a role and would like to continue to do so, please follow the above process to let us know that you are still interested in filling the position.
If you’d like to stand for a role but can’t make it on the day, submitting your notification and statement will allow you to put yourself forward for selection in absentia. We’ll be able to take notifications of interest in any of the above roles at the AGM itself but it would be good to know if we’re going to face a constitutional problem in advance, and to give people notice if a position they’re standing for is going to be contested.
Thanks for your time and patience.
