Scottish Greens – East Renfrewshire

A Very, Merry Clarkston Christmas

We’ll be at A Very, Merry Clarkston Christmas today, talking to people about their priorities for the area, and handing out flyers to promote Laura Stevens, our excellent candidate for the Clarkston, Netherlee and Williamwood ward in the 2017 council elections:

The event starts at 1pm at the car park at Clarkston Halls, and while we won’t have a stall we’re hoping to have a high degree of visibility at the event.  If you’d like to help us out, please feel free to either find us there on the day or email me at eastren@scottishgreens.org.uk and I’ll arrange to meet you there.

If you can’t make it to this event, there will be plenty more action days over the next few months – including this Christmas event in Barrhead in December – so there’s be plenty of scope to get involved.  East Renfrewshire deserves a council that’s willing to work with its community, and to do more than simply pass on cuts and decisions that have been made elsewhere, and by working to get a couple of Green councillors elected next year we can make a real difference on a local level.

This year, you made it possible for us to elect our first Green MSP for West of Scotland, Ross Greer.  With your help, I’m confident that we can get the first Green councillors elected in East Renfrewshire next year.  As one of the candidates for that election, I’m perhaps understandably nervous about this, but I also can’t wait to get stuck into the campaign!
