Keep Thornliebank and Barrhead Resource Centres Open

East Renfrewshire Council are proposing to close down one of East Renfrewshire’s two learning disability resource centers, which are based in Thornliebank and Barrhead, in the hope of making a £90,000 saving.  Click here to read the details of the situation and sign the petition.

Please note that, as is the case in the Bonnyton House situation,  alternative financial proposals have been put to our council and disregarded.

“Reliable, consistent service in familiar surroundings” – this might not sound like a lot to ask for, but sometimes reassurances like this can be a HUGE deal for people.

The threat to take these reassurances away is very real, and the need for action is urgent. East Renfrewshire Greens fully support the campaign to keep both centres open.  If you agree with us please sign the petition and share it as far as you can.
