Andy Wightman on Land Reform – Talk in East Renfrewshire

As previously announced, the East Renfrewshire Greens, with Common Weal East Renfrewshire, and WFI East Renfrewshire are delighted to announce that we are hosting a talk by Andy Wightman – the pre-eminent authority on Land Reform in Scotland.

The talk and Q&A session will be on the 17th June at The Travellers Rest, Neilston from 7.30pm. We previously said trains ran via Crossmyloof to Neilston but this was wrong – the route is via Pollokshield East and Cathcart.

We’ve set up online ticketing via Brown Paper Tickets – – tickets priced at £5 plus booking fee (Waged) and £3 (Unwaged).

We’ll follow up this announcement with some more background information on Land Reform, Land Ownership, and Local Tax.

Please like and share with everyone you think may be interested!

Have shared but why are you charging? Is it the cost of the venue?

A very fair question! I think the costs associated with the venue are fairly minor, so the charges are there to cover Mr Wightman’s time and travel expenses, which – while hardly on the level of yer average war mongering former prime minister – are high enough to put the organisers substantially out of pocket otherwise.
